We are very proud of our Church School status and our links with St Mary's Church in Walkhampton. We hold six of our services in the church each year as well as have members of the church come in to school regularly to deliver worship including family worship and Open the Book.
St Mary’s church sits on a hill half a mile above the village of Walkhampton. Our church parish covers the village of Walkhampton, part of Dousland, Welltown and stretches across the moors to include Princetown and several outlying farms. We have a good team of volunteers who keep things running smoothly and a bellringing team for our 6 bells. We are proud of the strong links with our Church of England Primary School, Lady Modiford’s, which was founded in 1719. The school regularly visit the church for services.
Our church has strong links with the community, with regular support at the weekly Saturday village market. Annual events include Remembrance Service with the Scout movement, carol singing in the village pub and a variety of social events.
We offer a warm welcome to parishioners and visitors alike. We boast ample parking, full accessibility toilet, Wi-Fi and kitchen facilities.
The church also run a toddler group out of St Pauls Church Hall called Poppins for Mums, Dads, Carers and their babies and preschool children. Come along to Poppins for a friendly coffee, biscuit and chat while the children are happy playing!
